Jouett
Students and Families, March 16, 2020
We hope you
and your family are safe and healthy during this ever-changing situation. As
you may know, ACPS has been sending out communication to families regarding
school closure. I wanted to follow up
with a few items, as well. I also wanted
to thank you all and the staff for remaining flexible and patient. Everyone has done a wonderful job!
School Closure
● Currently, all Virginia public schools are
closed from March 16-March 27 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
● Jouett will be open from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm on
both Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17 if your child needs to get
belongings. Medication can also be
picked up from the main office by a parent/guardian.
Instruction/Work
● All work is review, optional and not graded
over the school closure.
● Some teachers may have reached out already
regarding review work.
● We also have packets of review work available
in the main office for pick-up after noon on Monday and all day on Tuesday.
Check-In
● During the school closure period, you can be
expecting a check-in from a Jouett staff member (postcard, phone call, text,
email, etc.)
● Please let us know if there is anything you
need from us.
Meals
● The school division is in the process of
creating a plan for meals and will be sending out communication shortly.
If you have
any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at ajohnson@k12albemarle.org or the main office at 434-975-9320.
We look
forward to seeing everyone again soon.
Thank you,
Ashby
